BODY MOVEMENT RETRAINING

Good muscle tone is the essence of a life free from pain.

INSPIRE Clinical Rehab Program and Reformer Exercise classes strengthen and tone the body, retraining the deep 'inner' stabilising muscles, to achieve pain relief and good posture.

At INSPIRE Physiotherapy for Women, all Clinical Rehab Programs and Reformer Exercise sessions are conducted by our clinically trained female physiotherapists, so our classes are different from what you’ll find elsewhere.  Our physiotherapists use their extensive knowledge to tailor exercises to your level and specific needs.  


All Clinical Rehab program sessions are eligible for a partial rebate under ‘Physio Extras’ private health insurance. Reformer Exercise, Pregnancy Exercise, Mums and Bubs Exercise classes are eligible for a partial rebate with most health funds.

PILATES-INFORMED-EXERCISE WITH A FEMALE PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Physiotherapists are trained health professionals. At INSPIRE Physiotherapy for Women, all of our Clinical Rehab Program sessions & Reformer Exercise classes are conducted by experienced physiotherapists, so our programs and classes are different from what you'll find elsewhere.

INSPIRE Physiotherapy for Women's Reformer Exercise classes and our Clinical Rehab Program focus on your inner body strength. We know that pelvic floor tone is important to intimacy and continence. We understand how an individually designed exercise program to retrain your body's movement can ease neck pain, back pain, joint and muscle pain, energy drain and other discomfort.

All Clinical Rehab Program sessions are claimable for partial rebate under 'extras' private health insurance. Reformer Exercise, Pregnancy Exercise, Mums and Bubs Exercise classes are eligible for a partial rebate with most health funds.

CLINICAL REHAB PROGRAM

Our INSPIRE Clinical Rehab Program has been developed by physiotherapists to assist in the treatment of pain and injury and poor posture, or for those wanting a personalised program for optimal strength and toning. 

The INSPIRE Clinical Rehab Program retrains your inner ‘core’ muscles to achieve optimal body movement and function using Pilates-informed-exercises and strength & flexibility exercises, and is ideal for:

  • headaches, neck and shoulder tension
  • back, pelvic, sciatic, hip and groin pain
  • joint and muscle pain
  • poor posture and Scoliosis
  • pregnancy and postnatal discomfort
  • pelvic floor and bladder concerns
  • sporting and dance injuries
  • arthritis

Every woman is assessed individually, and a personal program using a combination of Pilates-informed exercise, movement retraining and strengthening exercises, is designed for you depending on your needs.  Click here to view timetable.

REFORMER EXERCISE CLASSES

INSPIRE Reformer Exercise classes utilise a combination of Pilates-informed-exercise, traditional strengthening exercises and movement retraining exercises to strengthen, shape and tone your body from the inside out. There is a maximum of 8 women in each class, allowing our experienced physiotherapists to ensure your safety and comfort, and to optimise your results in our physiotherapy group sessions.


Reformer Classes (Foundation, Level 1 & Level 2)

Our Reformer Exercise classes are suitable for women of all ages and abilities who do not require an individualised program.   Please note that Reformer Exercise classes are not suitable for women who have acute injury or chronic conditions that need to be managed with close clinical supervision. For women with acute or chronic issues, our Clinical Rehab Program offers individualised programs to suit specific clinical needs.

Our Reformer Exercise classes are suitable for everyone and cater for varying levels with Foundation, Level 1 & 2 classes available.  

Foundation classes are suitable for women new to exercise or for those who have not exercised for some time. The class includes exercises based on the floor and reformer bed, with a focus on learning techniques to isolate and activate specific muscle groups correctly.

Level 1 classes are a full-body session aimed to improve coordination, balance, strength and flexibility. Participants must have completed a minimum of two beginner classes (or at discretion of physiotherapist). A reasonable level of body awareness and function is required.

Level 2 classes provide a more advanced full-body approach, involving complex repertoire and sequencing. These classes are suitable for the advanced participant who has a thorough understanding of good movement principles and techniques.
